Paconian granulations

outpouchings of arachnoid that enter and cross the dura of the sagittal sinus allowing draining of CSF into the blood in sinus.Blockage of archnoid villi is of two types results in hydrocphalus,first is secondary due to high pressure in the sagital sinus.Second,the archnoid villi may become occulded with blood products or infectious process.
